Our Vision & values

Connecting Tomorrow's Leaders with Today's Opportunities.

The James Christopher Foundation was established in 2017 with the vision of connecting individual and corporate donors with high-potential, highly talented future leaders of South Africa who, without access to funding, would be otherwise unable to attend university.

We hold to two core values, or beliefs.

Firstly, we believe that ambition, talent and potential are not guarantors of success in the absence of meaningful, realistic and attainable access to opportunities.

We believe that the structural inequalities that exist in South Africa preclude access to finance for many of our country's future academic, social, business and political leaders who would otherwise be able to continue unlocking their potential at the tertiary education level and beyond.

Secondly, we believe that the vast majority of South Africans want to unite and succeed as one country, and actively look to help each other out given the opportunity.

We believe that South Africans are among the most generous people in the world, and given an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those who have already overcome much adversity and hardship, South Africans are eager and willing to be a part of the solution.

The James Christopher Foundation aims to bridge the gap between these students and generous donors, by providing a platform for the two to meet, and to provide a support framework to these talented individuals as they journey along the road to success.
