Board of Directors

Simon Van Wyk

The birth of his son in 2016 inspired Simon to put into action the idea for The James Christopher Foundation, after having had the original thought bouncing around his head for a number of years. Simon is a Chartered Accountant (South Africa), and is based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands (although still proudly South African!). He owns Lighthouse Finance, a boutique accounting, tax and advisory company, and is married to Kelly with one son, after whom the Foundation is named.

Caryn Erasmus

Caryn is a Durban-based Chartered Accountant (South Africa) who works for a private wealth-management agency. A St Mary's old girl, Caryn moved to study at UCT, after which she returned to Durban to complete her articles at PKF, before making the leap to London for a number of years to further her career and life experience. Eventually, the call of the ocean and sunshine won out, and Caryn returned to her native Durban once more. She is married to Gert, who is also a CA(SA) and owns his own accounting practice.

Timothy Van Wyk

Timothy (Tim) is an entrepreneur at heart with a love for the sea. Durban born, Tim has lived in Cape Town since 2002, and is the owner of an investment property maintenance business, as well as providing on-the-ground operational execution capacity for the Foundation. He is married to Gabi, and together they have two young boys.
